Recycle/Reuse Packaging

At Flori, we are committed to using 100% plant-based wax in our scented candles, wax melts and other products. But our dedication to the environment doesn't stop there. We also strive to minimise packaging and encourage recycling.

We understand that packaging plays an important role in protecting our products during transit. However, we also recognise the impact excessive packaging can have on the environment. That's why we have made a conscious effort to use minimal packaging without compromising the safety and quality of our products.

When you receive your order from Flori, you may notice that our packaging is not the prettiest. We intentionally choose simple and eco-friendly materials to reduce waste and minimise our carbon footprint. By using recycled and recyclable materials, we aim to contribute to a more sustainable future.

We encourage you to join us in our commitment to the environment by recycling the packaging materials you receive with your order. Recycling is a simple yet effective way to reduce waste and conserve resources. By properly disposing of packaging materials, you can help minimise the impact on our planet.

By recycling the packaging materials from your Flori order, you are taking a small but significant step towards a more sustainable future. Together, we can make a difference and protect the beauty of our planet for generations to come, all whilst enjoying beautifully crafted products.

Here are a few tips on how to reduce/reuse/recycle the packaging materials from your order:

Cardboard boxes: Made with recycled materials, the boxes your goods arrive in are also recyclable, biodegradable and compostable.

Paper inserts: If your order includes paper inserts, such as product information or promotional materials, these can also be recycled. Simply place them in your recycling bin in accordance with your local guidelines.

Void fill: The material used to protect your items in transit is made in Lancashire UK, from 100% recycled materials, is plastic free and 100% recyclable.

Plastic LOOKALIKE packaging: Some of our products may be packaged in what looks like plastic. However, it isn't! We would never use plastic on our products! The bags that our wax melts are packaged in are in fact Glassine, made in the UK. Despite how Glassine looks and feels, it is 100% paper and not coated or waxed, meaning it is fully recyclable in your paper recycle bin, biodegradable and compostable.

Labels: All of our product labels are printed on 100% recycled paper made from post-consumer waste and are recyclable, compostable or biodegradable.

Tins: Our tins are 100% recyclable, including the lids. Just empty and clean them and pop them in with your clean, empty food cans. Please check your local recycling guidelines.

Jars: Our jars are made from glass so they are 100% recyclable. Just empty and clean them and pop them in with your glass recycling in accordance with your local recycling guidelines. The lids are aluminium so are also recyclable.

Jute Twine: The jute twine that we use on our products is made in Greater Manchester UK. It is 100% natural and biodegradable. If you are lucky enough to have a composting area, chop the twine up into small lengths and add it to your compost pile.

Wood Pulp Ribbon: Made from wood pulp cellulose making it far more environmentally friendly than other ribbons, but still adds a pop of colour to our gift boxes.

Shredded Paper: Made in the UK from 100% recycled material and is 100% recyclable. It is produced using vegan dyes, ISO 14001 and REACH compliant in line with EU and European Standards.

Boxes: We've purposely chosen a box that doesn't have a magnetic closure so the box is fully recyclable.

Our jars make great flower vases for your garden blooms! Why not reuse your old candle jars as vases for your posies, like these beautiful ones from our garden, or our tins for starting off your flower or vegetable seeds.

Carefully add some drainage holes into the bottom of your empty and cleaned tin, fill with peat free seed compost and sow your favourite flowers or vegetables.

With a new product which will be released in 2025, we will make this even easier for you with one of our 'Coming Soon' products. All will be revealed...
